The Band

"Unlike a lot of recent indie rockery, every track here has its own refreshing personality and range of emotion. Matched with a production as clever as the songwriting, 'Fight the Sunset' is all class." -- Lachlan Marks, Drum Media. (Listed as one of best Drum’s EPs of 2006)

"I just like how it sounds young, but old, how it floats but soars and how there is an obvious talent in the first efforts of this young group". -- Kirsty Brown, Brag Magazine.

"The EP strives to soar and comes close enough on Devoted Youth and Pale Signs, which has scored airplay on Nova...there is promise here." -- Kelsey Munro, Sydney Morning Hearld. December 1st 2006. 3.5 Stars.

"I could describe the atmosphere of this EP in one word - shimmering...it captures your imagination, grabs your attention and gives you wonderful little surprises along the way." -- Corey Stewart, The Bizzo. 30th October 2006

Possessing a remarkable combination of melody and lyrical insight Days Like Stars songs are filled with hope, longing and devotion. The wide-ranging appeal of the band has allowed them to comfortably support a cross-section of renowned artists from platinum record selling, ARIA award nominated bands Thirsty Merc and Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus) to underground heroes Bluebottle Kiss and Jakob (NZ).

Days Like Stars have featured extensively on TV shows such as the Logie-award winning Foxtel drama Love My Way and the prime-time network drama The Alice. In fact both shows were such fans of the bands music that the ‘The Alice’ actually invited them to perform on the show itself for their final episode and Love My Way include their song Pale Signs as the‘re-cap’ music each week in seasons two and three as well as featuring on the show’s official soundtrack alongside internationally successful Australian artists like The Finn Brothers, Eskimo Joe and Missy Higgins (available now through Liberation).

Their song 'Pale Signs' was added to the Nova radio playlist, 'Thunderstorm' was spinning nationally on JJJ and 'Devoted Youth' was playlisted all over the country on the SEA FM/HOT/STAR radio network.

The EP itself, ‘Fight the Sunset’ produced by Luke Hanigan (Lo-tel) has been released nationally through MGM and is also available digitally on itunes.
